New Builds

Thinking of building your dream home? You've got the land or possibly an exisitng house that you which to demolish and start again - what do you do?

  • Contact your Local Authority Planning Office, they will advise you if you will in fact be able to build on the land or demolish the existing property and any other relevant information.
  • Speak to an Architect, they can help with all the red tape involved as well as designing the house for you.
  • Once the permission has been granted for you to build you will then need to apply for Building Regulation permission.
  • When the drawing is complete  and, ideally when planning permission has been granted, you can then instruct building contractors to tender for the work.  It is recommended that you get at least 3 estimates for the work.
  • We offer a complete package, groundworks, builders, joiners, roofers, plasterers, plumbers, electricians.  We can Project Manage the job and co-ordinate your project with you.

Extensions & Loft Conversions

Need more Space?

  • Loft Conversion - You will need at lease 2 metres head height, this can vary but this is generally the expected height and there other requirements  to considereration but this is by far the most critical.
  • Have you some spare land at the side or rear of your property?  This would be ideal for extra space , either on just one floor or the full height of the property.
  • Advice from your Local Authority Planning Office is recommended on whether planning permission is required.
  • Speak to an Architect, they will have the knowledge to help  and guide you through the red tape of the planning process.
  • Once the permission has been granted for you to build (if required), you may then need to apply for Building Regulation permission.  In some cases you may be able to start the building work immediately by submitting a building notice, your Architect will be able to advise you on this.
